My husband had to do a quick trip to Bangkok so I decided to hop in the plane with him and discover a little about Bangkok. We had only about 24h so we had to get creative to use our time wisely.
Unfortunately just before we left we were informed that the King of Thailand had just passed away and therefore some places would be closed, and people would be grieving their loss.
As we spoke with the taxi driver he told us every time he would hear the King life story in the radio he would cry, cause King Bhumibol Adulyadej was a very good one, who never spared efforts to help his people. So little by little we understood the reason of so much sadness and respect for their beloved King.
After checking in the hotel we wanted to explore and make the most of our time, that's when we found out none of the places we wanted to go were actually open. So we had to reset our plans.
My great friend Mina had give me one travel tip, and this tip is gold! This saved our trip, and made the flight to Bangkok all worthwhile. The tip was the EATHAI restaurant, click here to check my post about this wonderful place.
We only had the opportunity to visit Eathai and the famous Khao San road and finish our visit with drinks up high, although we learned a little about what to do there; so if you are going to Bangkok, here are my advises:
Of course there are many other things to do, but these are the ones I believe are the best ones to pick from for a quick visit. , but I think the ideal for Bangkok would be at least 3 to 4 days cause Bangkok is really a very rich city in attractions of all sorts.
