As you might know, I started my own bikini brand in Vietnam, and last friday we had a beautiful bikini fashion show.
( You can see the brand Facebook and shop online right here! )
I want to share a little of the preparation with you and you and also the final result of course!
Well, Brazilica was born from the opportunity, I didn't had much to do when we moved here and well, brazilian bikinis are loved and known all over the world for being the best. So In one of my trips to Brazil I decided to bring some to my friends and test the water. Turned out everybody went crazy with the bikinis, so I decided to invest a little more into it.
Now Brazilica is growing and will go to other places in the world with me.
Last friday we had a Fashion Show at Intercontinental Hanoi, and it was simply beautiful! Of course I had a little help on the production from my husband's company Nightlife Entertainment with over 20 years experience in events... and I am very thankful!! ( Thanks Love ) But all the ideas, costumes, casting, guest list, etc... was all done by me and one assistant!
It was all done within a month, and I can tell you it was one busy month! Lol! Some days I cried cause I was too tired and some days as the costumes started to be ready I was over exited. But overall it was a lot of planning, dedication and focus, otherwise we couldn't had finish it in time.
I always try to balance time between work, Naomi and myself, but this last month everything got a little out of hand. I think I only went to the gym once and not once to the manicure. Some days, my time with Naomi was inside the workshop working with mommy.
I was very stressed in the begging but as the day approached I started to relax (weird me... lol!) ....I think maybe because everything was ready one week prior to the show. Good planning is crucial on these moments.
But one thing I did develop with this experience is the respect for FASHION SHOW BACK STAGE. Oh my god! It's madness! It's crazy! Specially in this kind of show where we had to change a lot of accessories for each costume.
When the first model arrived from the catwalk for the first change I was sure we couldn't make it. The changing room was too far from the show and we had too many things to change in 30 seconds.
Things would get tangled, lost, and then more models would arrive, the room as too small for the big costumes. Madness! Madness! Madness! BUT... WE MADE IT! And it was beautiful! It was fun! And it was glamouros! Exactly the way I wanted.
I didn't want a bikini show with only bikinis, I didn't want to turn it into a too sexy thing, I need it to be sutil and gentle, and cute.
The models did a great job even though the concept was a bit different then usual fashion shows, but they did a great job.
So, here is the result of the show!
Hello my fellow readers!
Some times we have an special event or occasion that we need to look fabulous and we open the closet door and …. NOTHING! "Nothing to wear" is the most common situation women go through in their lives. Today I want to show you how to style UP a simple dress. Cause I am sure you have enough clothes inside your closet you really wouldn’t have to shop for a decade,…. The thing is…. WE GET BORED! We want new things!!! Sometimes the invitation only arrive last minute, or you are short in cash, or if for any other reason you need to improvise, here is how to do it.
Step 1. Get that old dress out of the back of the closet.
Step 2. Wash and iron ( so you don’t smell like mold )
Step 3. Bring the very favourite shoes and bag to the game. This is what is going to add the outfit, positioning the whole composition a level up, maybe even two.
Step 4. Jewellery!!!! This can have a major effect on the look, transitioning from style to style. You can make the look go to classy and fine, or boho and gipsy, trend, stylish…. You name it! Find the right accessory to creat the style you like most.
Step 5. If the dress is simple, bring the attention up to your face! Makeup! Girl, get on with the makeup game. The is no dress up with bare face. This is definitely no deal for me. If you want to look like a million bucks, give the final touch in style! Add the cherry to the cake! Work on your skills, improve you ability, and make your face stand out!
Well, this is my strategy to style up and change an outfit from one level to another. What is yours?
I would love to know your techniques to style up your look!
Good day my gorgeous readers!
Today I will be brief, but I want to talk about a very important subject! Confidence!
Brazilian women are usually very confident and happy women, and they inspire me so much. I do have my moments of confidence, but I know I could use some more! Confidence is not about thinking you are better then others. But giving yourself love and respect, not requesting validation from others to be who you are and doing the things you love. WE can’t always be certain, but insecurity is a waste of time. Confidence is definitely the most alluring thing a women can have!
Now after this brief moment of motivation I want to talk about this look! Cause this is my style and inspire me to be a confident women...
So I put together this look, which is very much Brazilian and a side of the fact that was having a bad hair day, this is definitely my style. This flare pants in leather and cotton are one of my favorite, this one a I got in Brazil, and they are comfortable and super versatile, I can up grade any look just by add this pants to the set.
Well, ok, Brazil might be far away for you to go get the same pants, although this top I got here in Vietnam at MYM, neon yellow really added to the composition bringing some light, a lot of light! As you might know I do not like all black outfits, I much ratter be dressed in colours, which reflects my personality.
Of course adding to this composition a good pair of heels, a cute bag, and a perfect makeup will do the deal!
As you might have notice I also love my accessories all together, and big and outstanding. I leave the classic and fine jewellery for very fine and formal occasions.
Well this is it for today!
I hope you like it, and don’t forget to wear your confidence when styling your outfit!
Big kiss girls!
Hello girls! Today I want to share a quick post on my airport look.
If I am travelling on a long flight I always pick a comfortable look, although if it’s a short flight or for a business meeting I like to fly in style… and comfortable!
This look is 100% BRAZILIAN, I love flare pants and bright colours, definitely I’m not crazy about black. I use black mainly for work or when I’m on the “nothing to wear” mood… if I can’t find something I love, I will wear black, cause black is easy to look nice, but for me black means zero creativity.
I do love colors, and prints, but I also love monochromatic looks, when you put together an outfit from top to bottom in one tone or slight variation shades… and yes, I loooove to wear fully white looks.
The pants are made in Brazil, in cotton, and are incredibly comfortable ( I don't like to wear jeans to fly ) and the color is not really white, is off-white. The top is a light beige also in cotton, and as in the airplane is sometimes a bit cold I always have a little sweater.
Here are some other ideas for you to get inspired!
This is it for today! I hope you guys have a nice weekend!
